Thank-You Mt. Hobson Students

Every Friday, after lunch,  Ms. O' Connor and her students from Mt. Hobson would come and help the children in Team One with their team activities. The students helped set up the equipment for the games and were terrific coaches. We had a celebration to thank them for coming and taking care of us. They brought pizza, marshmallows, snacks and treats. It was like having a party at school. Thank-you Mt. Hobson. We wish you everything of the best for 2021.

Happy Birthday to Khaing May

Khaing May is six years old. Her family wanted her to celebrate this special day with her classmate.

Week 5's Lunch box Heroes

 During assembly, this morning Joscior, Aroha, Isla-May and Adnan won the lunch box hero prize. We had some very happy children today.

Art Alive

The clever and creative children in Team One made their very own African necklace. It is believed that wearing and owning old African bead or jewellery can give luck, wisdom, hope and a good sense of well being to the owner. How cool is that? Take it away Team One.

Whacky Wheels

 Today we went to Sylvia park to watch Manaiakalani's annual Film Festival. We watched lots of wonderful movies. We think Team One's movie was the best. Thank-you Mrs. Squires for making our movie.

Wheels Wacky Hair Day

 Today is wheels and whacky hair day at school. The children in Room 18 are so excited and can't wait to ride their wheels at lunchtime. Some of them went of their way to style their hair to look super wacky.

Maori Colours

Timothy, Cullai and Tolati have been learning the colour names in Maori. One of the tasks was to look for  of objects in your house (whare) that matched the colours.

Joscior's Snail Story

 Joscior's enjoyed watching Mrs.Shirely show us her snails at our Google Meeting. He went onto the slide deck and watched some video's about snails. He worked hard at completing the tasks for the day.

 Tolati enjoyed the home learning tasks on Monday. He drew some lovely pictures of insects and shapes.

Maths- addition

One of the tasks for Team One's home learning was find different ways to make 10. Cullai enjoyed finding things in his house to help him complete this task. He was creative and found various ways of making ten.

Timothy's Snail Writing

 Timothy enjoyed listening to the story called " The snail and the whale." He wrote a story about it.

Crazy weather

Over the last few day the weather has been strange. One minute it will be sunny and beautiful and the next moment it all changes with very hard showers of rain. The task for our home learning was to write about being outside and then being inside. Joscior wrote a lovely story about this.
