Israel got a Duffy certificate at our school assembly for coming to the google meets each day and working hard to complete all given tasks. He was very happy and so was his family. Israel made this snake craft all by himself by watching the video that was part of his home learning task.
Part of today's home learning task was to listen to the story " The Lion in the Library" and answer the questions.
Israel can confidently write letters and solve maths problems by splitting numbers into tens and ones.
Today's learning activities were all based on the well known fairy tale " The Gingerbread Man"
Faith used various shapes to make her gingerbread man. Her favourite shape is the rectangle.
Genevieve had lots of fun making her colourful gingerbread man.
Israel enjoyed completing today's activities on the home learning slide deck prepared by Ms. Lowans.
It was a gorgeous sunny day so Israel went exploring in his garden looking for shapes in nature.
Genevieve and Faith's did some exercising as their goal is to stay healthy during the lockdown.
We had 26 children in our Team One Hangout. It was great to see all the children online and eager to start the day's activities and learning.
Genevieve and Faith had lots of fun with their big sister Jahzara making sharks.
Yesterday the children in Team One had our very first Google Meet hangout. Given the short notice we had a good turn out at our session. We were very happy to see each other online.
At our team assembly this week Serena and Paula got certificates.
After a hard day's of work, the children in Room 18 get rewarded by playing with games and activities of their choice. Genevieve played with the popsicle sticks and made numbers from 1-20. It took her a long time but Genevieve said " I like making numbers."
The Sparkles, are happy to be playing netball again. They are a fantastic team that gets along well and has mastered a variety of skills.
Ms. Ana has been coming to classroom to help us with our learning. She also plays with us at playtime. Ms Ana is very clever and has lots of skills and talent. We love you Ms. Ana and appreciate all that you do for us.
Last term the children in Room 18 went on a school trip. to Kelly Tarltons. For some of us it was the very first time. We had a lovely day. What a great experience!
Genevieve and her family made s’mores. Genevieve, her mum and all her sisters went to the supermarket to buy marshmallows, chocolate and biscuits while her dad and her big brother made the fire.
This was her first time tasting a s’more and it was sweet and yummy. Genevieve wants to make s’mores with all her friends and family after the lockdown is finish.
