Freya can count from 1 to 10.

Whacky hair and wig day

 Friday was "Wacky Hair and Wig Day" at school. We were trying to raise money for children with cancer.

Hot lunches

We have started receiving delicious, cooked meals every Friday. Hot lunch on Friday consisted of mashed potatoes with chicken and mince. It was scrumptious.

Duffy Certificate

Marama received a Duffy certificate today at assembly for demonstrating a willingness to learn and try new things.

Mey Lee and Keni received their awards during today's assembly.

Mey Lee is doing fabulous reading.

Keni is always willing to lend a hand.

 The children in Room 18 have been learning how to express their emotions and feelings through art. Watch these SUPERSTARS create their masterpiece. Please leave us a comment on our blog.

Reading

 Soane like looking at the pictures in books.  As he reads, he can point to each word. Soane is learning to write a few simple words at a time.

Working hard

 Renee and Marama got a certificate at our team assembly. 

Renee consistently makes sensible choices.
Marama did her best at her 6 year Net test with Mrs. Wilson.

 Jyriah enjoys reading and has been working on learning words.

On the weekend

Jaydis had a terrific weekend. He went to Butterfly Creek with his family. Jaydis went on the dinosaur.

In our Te Reo lessons, we have been learning how to draw a Marae.

Player of the day

For netball, Delyla was named player of the day. She was a solid defender.

Term 3 Netball

The SparklesNetball squad was thrilled to play netball again. We had a fantastic game when we played Sylvia Park. The team persevered and gave it their all even though we lost the game.
