Thank-You Mt. Hobson Students

Every Friday, after lunch,  Ms. O' Connor and her students from Mt. Hobson would come and help the children in Team One with their team activities. The students helped set up the equipment for the games and were terrific coaches. We had a celebration to thank them for coming and taking care of us. They brought pizza, marshmallows, snacks and treats. It was like having a party at school. Thank-you Mt. Hobson. We wish you everything of the best for 2021.

Art Alive

The clever and creative children in Team One made their very own African necklace. It is believed that wearing and owning old African bead or jewellery can give luck, wisdom, hope and a good sense of well being to the owner. How cool is that? Take it away Team One.

Whacky Wheels

Today we went to Sylvia park to watch Manaiakalani's annual Film Festival. We watched lots of wonderful movies. We think Team One's movie was the best. Thank-you Mrs. Squires for making our movie.

Crazy weather.

During the week the weather has been extreme. It changes very quickly from warm and sunny to stormy and rainy. Mrs. Squires slides had a rainy day story and children had to write about the weather. Cullai enjoyed the home learning tasks. He worked hard at writing some tricky words.

At Playtime

My students just can't wait for playtime. They keep asking me when it's time to go out and play. I know that some of them love playing on playground but was not sure of what the other kids did at playtime. One day when I was on playtime duty I saw some of my children doing some fun activities.
Khyana, Akanesi and Tevita like climbing trees.
Sione, Cullai and Laker like sitting in the shade and chatting.

Alex loves riding bike.

This is Timothy who also enjoys riding on the bike track.

Year 5 and 6 Camp

Last week the Year 5 and 6 children had camp on our school field. The children in Room 18 were so excited to see the tents going up so we decided to go and have a wonder around their camp site. There were so many little tents.  During camp the children had lots of fun and exciting activities. We could see them go down the waterslide outside our classroom bay. They had lots of fun.

We can't wait to go to camp!

Milk in Schools

The children in Room 18 enjoyed drinking their chilled milk after playing Rippa Rugby on Thursday. Some children asked for seconds.
It was a very hot day so we decided to sit under the tree.

Alex and Laker like drinking milk.
"It's so nice and cold. We feel a whole lot better now,"
said Laker and Alex

Thank-You Fonterra.
